Cheryl Hill, Director for the Mitchell Centre
I have had the absolute joy of being a director for the Mitchell Centre since April 2000. I have been married for 25 years and have a son 20 and a daughter 17. I was bitten by the "horse-bug" at a very early age and have spent my life learning about and being with these magnificent creatures. I work part time at a local Credit Union, which allows me to spend time daily following my biggest passion in life...horses. I rescued my own Arab gelding from going to the plant seven years ago, which is why I feel so passionate about the job we are doing at The Centre. I have put Dakota through everything from herding cows to dressage training, parades to horse shows - I've never been sorry that our paths crossed! These animals never cease to fascinate me and I truly enjoy being a "voice" for these animals.

In the past, the Mitchell's, have helped to prevent the needless slaughter of numerous track and chuckwagon horses, PMU yearlings, weanlings and standard bred horses.

Fred Gautreau, Vice President, Marketing & Fundraising
Fred has been involved in the financial industry since 1997. He is a respected director of two other companies. He has a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Calgary and brings vast experience in computer systems and business operations.
